We are pleased to serve you here at the Town of Centerville.  In an effort to make your transition an easy one, here are a few tips about applying for new service.

 

We provide water, sewer and gas services for most of Hickman County.  Sewer is available to those located within the city limits. 

 

WATER SERVICE

If you are a homeowner, we require you to fill out an application, which can be located above.  Your social security number and your driver's license (or a photo id) is required for service.  You will be required to make a $100 deposit.  $50 of that total will be held as your deposit and will be refunded to you or applied to your account when your service is terminated.

 

If you are a renter, we require you to fill out an application, which can be located above.  Your social security number and driver's license (or photo id) is required for service.  We must also have a copy of your rental agreement or letter from your landlord giving us permission to turn services on in your name.  You will be required to make a $130 deposit.  $80 of that total will be held as your deposit and will be refunded to you or applied to your account when your service is terminated.

 

GAS SERVICE

If you are a homeowner, we require you to fill out an application, which can be located above.  Your social security number and your driver's license (or a photo id) is required for service.  You will be required to make a $100 deposit.  $50 of that total will be held as your deposit and will be refunded to you or applied to your account when your service is terminated.

 

If you are a renter, we require you to fill out an application, which can be located above.  Your social security number and driver's license (or photo id) is required for service.  We must also have a copy of your rental agreement or letter from your landlord giving us permission to turn services on in your name.  You will be required to make a $150 deposit.  $100 of that total will be held as your deposit and will be refunded to you or applied to your account when your service is terminated.



COMBINED SERVICES

The same information is required as above, but we will combine the cost for both and you will save $45.00.

 

BILLING INFORMATION

We bill our customers for water used.  Your first bill will be for the previous 30 days of service.  We have four billing cycles and four due dates, dependent upon a customer's location.  Your bill is mailed 10 days before it is due.  If it is paid on or before the due date, you pay the Net Amount.  If you are late, you will be assessed a 10% penalty and you must pay the Gross Amount.  If your bill is not paid by the 5th day after your due day, your service will be suspended and you will be required to pay the bill and a $30 reconnect fee.  This fee must be paid up front and cannot be added to your bill.

 

We realize, from time to time, circumstances out of your control may warrant extra time to pay your bill.  We are willing to work with you as long as you have made contact with us and have signed a payment agreement in the business office.
